I've actually always wanted to be a party planner! Making people's happiest days stress free always sounded perfect to me. And now I can do it! [She sees that fading smile but doesn't comment on it... yet.]
Well, you're welcome to come work for me! Or I know plenty of places hiring because of all the people I contact, I could stop by and see if they need anyone? What do you like to do?
[She gestured for Namine to take a seat at the table while she brought over the tea tray.]
[The witch took a seat at the table and admired the tea being served. It smelled amazing.]
Well... the only thing I'm really good at is drawing.
[Naminé reached into her bag and pulled out her sketchbook. She opened it up to the first page and slid it over to the girl to look through. She glanced away while she did though, and her cheeks blushed a little.]
Naminé-chan! You can't say it like that! Being able to draw is amazing! [She took the sketchbook and gently went through the pages.] These are amazing! And I know if you practice everyday, you'll get better and better. I'm really fond of doodling, myself, but nothing like these.
Ah! Maybe we can get you a job at a toy store! Help them design toys for little kids?
Ah...thank you Usagi. [It really did make her happy when people liked her art. It was important to her after all. Making a career out of it could be a good idea, but it made her a little nervous too.]
Perhaps. I've never done designing honestly. I mostly illustrate.
Alright, let's start one thing at a time then. The job can wait. In fact if you need, you can stay here with me and Setsuna-san so you can save your money! The house is plenty big for another person!
[Where she living currently was...okay. Despite the shared kitchen with the entire building. And the bathroom.
Okay she wasn't a fan. But she was trying not to complain. Almost all of her other friends had offered her a place to stay, but staying the people of her life before here felt odd to her. She hurt a lot of them, and even if they forgave her, she really hadn't forgiven herself. Especially not with what happened with Sora recently.
[The girl still didn't seemed convinced. It wasn't so much Usagi but the pressure she put on herself.]
Okay... how about this? Let me tell you everything up front. Who...what I am. What I did. And if you're okay with me...I'll move in okay?
[Naminé wanted to move. She didn't want to be alone anymore. She was tired of the isolation. But she needed Usagi to know the truth before either of them regretted it.]
Mnn, if you want. But Naminé-chan, I don't want you to feel like you HAVE to tell me. I want you to tell me in your own time, at your own comfort level. And to be honest, nothing you say is going to make me take away my invitation to stay with me and Setsuna.
[Naminé felt her cheeks burn a little. Usagi's aura was so nice...she sort of envied it. She took a deep breath and let it out slowly, rubbing her legs.]
It's okay. I'd rather you know...
I don't know how much Sora has told you about where we used to live, so I'll try to keep it as simple as I can. In our universe, every person has a heart; you can think of it like a soul. Hearts are made of light and darkness, and when they move on, they return to Kingdom Hearts. Many people wanted Kingdom Hearts for their own because it's the source of everything. It started a war that almost destroyed all worlds.
Years later, creature of darkness called the Heartless appeared. Their names are literal; they are beings without hearts. And all they want is hearts, acting on instinct and attacking innocent people. But key bearers-like Sora-can free them.
It's not just Heartless that came from this though. There are other creatures called Nobodies. They are similar to heartless; no hearts but instead of instinct, they act with logic and thought.
Naminé-chan, even though you don't have a heart, you aren't heartless. You know that, don't you? You're one of the sweetest, most considerate girls I have ever met.
[She reached out and pushed some of Naminé's hair from her face.]
[The girl flinched from her touch. She couldn't even meet Usagi's eyes.]
That's not what worried me...
Yes, I'm a Nobody, but my birth was strange. I was given a very specific power: the power over memories. There were bad people who wanted to use me for this, and they kept me captured in a castle. They said they'd only let me go if I helped them with their plans. A-And I did...
You see, they wanted to control the keyblade master. So they wanted me to erase his memories and replace the person most important to him with myself. They thought if I had emotional control over him, they would have control over both of us. S-So...I helped...because I was so scared. I was so lonely. It was horrible and I knew it, but I did it anyway.
The person I hurt....that was Sora.
[She barely noticed the tears coming from her eyes and then color fading around her.]
R-Right before I showed up here...I had been working to fix the mistake I made. It took over a year, but I did it. But people were hurt along the process too...a-and I think that's my fault as well.
[The witch hid her face as her tears worsened.]
I-I'm a horrible person. I'm not even a person! I'm just a witch! And I don't deserve...your kindness. I hurt everyone around me....I deserve to be alone...
[Whether Naminé wanted it or not, she gathered the younger girl up in a hug, gently stroking her back and petting her hair as she rocked her back and forth. She gently hummed like she did for Chibiusa and Sora whenever things got particularly bad, and she spread out her light. She used her crystal to wrap them up in warmth and love and care.]
No, you aren't a horrible person. You were a scared little girl who feared how badly she would be hurt. And more still, you fixed everything you did because you knew it was wrong.
You are so brave, Naminé-chan, you might be one of the bravest girls I know. I'm not going to let you be alone, little one. I'm not going to let you be alone so long as I'm alive.
[Naminé is shocked at Usagi's response. She sits frozen in her arms while she tries to process the new information. When it settles, her tears really start to flow. This girl accepted her. She knew the whole truth now, but Usagi totally accepted it.
A small sob escapes her and she curls up into a ball in the other's arms. Was this really okay? She doesn't think Usagi would lie to her. There is no gain to be had from it. This girl was just an honest to god kind, caring person. Naminé still doesn't feel like she deserves this treatment, but she also won't disregard the others feelings. Besides....she's grateful.]
[She waited for Naminé to let it all out, never letting go, never stopping her gentle rocking, able to hold this position for hours, if she needed. Naminé needed her and Usagi was going to be there where clearly so few had been whether because they couldn't or chose not to be. But Usagi could and would for the little blonde. She would do everything she could to help her grow and become stronger.
But until the little blonde felt like she could stand on her own, Usagi would be there to support her. Starting with something as simple as a hug while she cried.
She pulled out her handkerchief and offered it to Naminé, gently pushing some of Naminé's hair from her face. She merely smiled.]
You don't have to thank me, Naminé-chan, I just want you to feel safe and welcomed.
[Naminé takes the handkerchief with a grateful nod and wipes her eyes. She feels exhausted after all that crying but also relieved. One to have the truth out, but also...she really needed a good cry.]
Still I....okay.
[She takes a deep breath in and out, folding the handkerchief.]
Usagi if you're really okay with all that then...I don't have a reason to say no to your offer. Honestly, I really am tired of being alone. I'd rather be with you.
I'd rather you be with me too. Come on, let's go find you a room to call your own. [She smiled as she gently set Naminé down and held out her hand for the little blonde to take.]

I see. I can definitely see you doing well in a job like that. I've just been picking up odd jobs right now. I'm not sure what I want to do just yet.

[Naminé stared into her tea. She really didn't know what to do with herself now. All this freedom...it was almost too much for her.]
Th-there's too many things I need to figure out right now.

Didn't Sora...tell you what happened?

What he tells me doesn't change my opinion of you, and Sora isn't the sort to hold a grudge or see from a lot of different sides.
